I did my art time bright and early again — even though I had a tattoo scheduled later in the day. Part of that early drawing time was preparing for today’s appointment.

Being in “emergency mode” over the past couple of weeks has caused a bit of procrastination, unfortunately. Still, I visualized what I wanted to accomplish and how I wanted to accomplish it, and that worked out pretty well for me.

I also worked a bit on a design for tomorrow. It’s not finished, but I made enough progress on it to finish up in short order before the appointment.

Once I made it to the studio, I finally got to tattoo for the first time in quite a while! I spent 3 hours working on the “We the People” design, and I’m pretty happy with the results, though I didn’t get a photo of it before I wrapped it. I’ll hopefully have a photo in a couple of weeks!

What went well?

  • Bright and early art time again.
  • The express keys are still improving my workflow dramatically. I’m loving it!
  • Tattooing!

What needs work?

  • Procrastination on client designs.

What did I learn?

I’m fortunate that I still have the muscle memory for tattooing after taking months off during the pandemic and weeks off during the winter storms. Oh, and the broken hand.
