I messed up and accidentally over-wrote my post for session 137, so here’s the art that I did for yesterday:

Today I did a tattoo that was slightly outside of my “norm.”

It was an 18-year-old’s first tattoo — on his birthday! And he wanted a tattoo from a manga. Not something I’m normally interested in, but he was set on getting this tattoo, wanted me to do it, and I didn’t want him to get someone else to do it if they didn’t have the ability.

So I did my best to make this kid’s birthday awesome. 🙂

What went well?

Critiques at the shop today went well.

I executed a clean tattoo on a first-time client.

What needs work?

Tonight is turning into one of those nights where I’m going start developing the habit of ferocity. The grit to show up as my best when I’m not feeling it.

And that means NOT over-writing a published post in the future.

What did I learn?

Focus on what you have in order to receive what you lack. If you focus on what you lack, you lose what you have.

I’m exhausted, but that’s when I can push just a little harder to do what I need to do before going to bed. Bring it on.
