I slept really well last night, and got to hit the cabin bright and early.
Today I focused on writing an email to my amazing subscribers, scripting for CreateQuest, filming a video for CreateQuest, and then I tackled my warmup:

The warmup was a little bit sloppy today (except for the targeted ellipse in the perspective plane), but I was itching to get to work on a client design:

I worked on this straight through from start to finish. I’m just waiting on client approval, now. So I studied some sketching practices and moved on to the Martyr piece. I wanted to finish it so I could get it posted:

And I’m incredibly happy with the final outcome.
What was awesome?
Keeping up with my practice.
MORE progress on TWO hella fun tattoo designs. One of them is different than what I was working on yesterday.
An awesome day full of art.
What needs work?
I need to think more about line economy when sketching.
What did I learn?
Getting straight to work after my coffee has been brewed and I’ve meditated is turning out to be one of the most hyper-productive things that I think I’ve ever done. The farmboy morning routine ftw! I tend to get my work done early so I can enjoy the rest of the day with my family.
Hit the most important thing as soon as your eyes are open enough to manage it and you’ll have a win of a day every day!
And don’t forget to check out CreateQuest – a project that I’m working on with Chris Beaven. It’s our mission to bring creatives together in an empowering community with a focus on improving the world, not just changing it.
