I decided to block off my day a little more aggressively today and got a TON of work time in, including creative time. I started my day off by trying to sketch, but I wasn’t in a good headspace for sketching from my slideshow, so I turned to studying, instead.
I drew an Asaro Head (great 3d models of almost anything you could ever want to draw are available at sketchfab.com) that I decided to erase after I ate lunch. It was just horrible. I wasn’t in a great place to draw in general this morning. So I did some writing, instead.
After lunch, I hiked back to the cabin with my son and finally re-filmed lesson 5.2 for a quest on CreateQuest, filmed a quick blog video, and THEN started refreshing my memory on the Reilly head abstraction. These turned out much better:
What was awesome?
Not breaking the chain.
Finally making more progress on CreateQuest. And hanging out with my son in the process a little bit!
Deepening my understanding of the Reilly head abstraction. I need to draw these more.
What needs work?
I wish I’d had more drawing time today, but overall creative time was very high.
What did I learn?
Flow is a magical place. I’d live there if I could.
And don’t forget to check out CreateQuest – a project that I’m working on with Chris Beaven. It’s our mission to bring creatives together in an empowering community with a focus on improving the world, not just changing it.
