I was burned out after such a long tattoo session on Saturday, and Sundays are my review days, so I didn’t get much art time in. Some would argue that I got NO art time in, but I colored with my son in the morning and spent the rest of the day trying to create the week ahead of me to the best of my ability.

I’ve said that a micro-win is still a win — so I’m celebrating the coloring with my son in the morning today. I didn’t get a photo before the coloring page got ripped from sticking to the kitchen table, though. Oops!

What went well?

  • Bonding with my son.
  • Catching up on rest.

What needs work?

  • Managing my energy and motivation the day after an incredibly challenging tattoo.

What did I learn?

That I can celebrate the small stuff when there’s so much big stuff going on.
