I didn’t sleep well last night. I believe it was issues with my allergies, which flare up every time the moody Kentucky weather changes, but I still woke up ready to tackle the day. I started it off with some video editing, a long conversation with Chris, then a quick warmup page (that I refuse to skip any longer):

This one was much better than the last!
At this point, it was time to eat lunch (time flies!), and I went to play at the local Splash Pad with the kiddos — even though it’s raining. šš I had a blast, and so did the kids (for the most part).
Then it was back to the cabin for more video editing and some time on a piece I haven’t put as much time into as I’d like: Imperium.

I’m stepping BACK with this one, getting rough and loose to try to get the effect and message I want with it. By the time I made it this far, it was time to eat dinner with the family.
What was awesome?
Working on a piece I love. Spending time with the kids. More progress on CreateQuest.
What needs work?
I need better sleep. Allergies are messing me up pretty bad.
What did I learn?
Not doing warmups every day MAY be slowing down my tattooing. It’s something that came up in the conversation with Chris this morning, and I really wonder if doing daily warmups will help me regain some of the speed that I’ve lost over the past month or so.
