I didn’t have much time to work on art today, which is a shame, but it was the cost of getting a phenomenal massage from the best LMT I’ve ever visited. He’s incredibly skilled, and my shoulders are FINALLY feeling free and loose, with no pain. Even after doing a tattoo AFTER seeing him.

Just a simple moon mandala today for tattooing. I had a little bit of trouble finding a good position to pull smooth curves, but I’m pleased with the final result.
Then I spent a little more time on Mystery, playing with background ideas.

I want to communicate POWER with this model, though she’s taking a seductive, mysterious pose. I think it’s important to communicate ALL of that in the painting, so I’ll probably have her sitting on a simple, elegant throne. I’d like to push the vignette as far as I can, as well.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to work on the hand and feet today, so I’ll give that some attention tomorrow.
What went well?
- Getting an excellent massage.
- A happy client.
- Making a bit of micro-progress on Mystery.
What needs work?
- Maintaining this range of motion in my shoulder.
- Finding a way to catch up on my list.
What did I learn?
It’s time to push myself to accomplish more with a piece of art. I’m beyond excited!
