I decided to brave the roads today. But I had to chisel my car out of the block of ice it was in, first.
Fortunately, I know how to drive on ice and snow. 1st gear, baby. So I made it to town to buy some essentials, see if my client was able to safely come in, and sit down to draw at the studio.

I noticed a lot of stiffness in my shoulder during my warmup. Likely due to the 30 minutes of chiseling ice.

And I did a few gestures at the studio, but I’m not very happy with them today. I’m still celebrating my win of getting some drawing time in.
My client, unfortunately, had to cancel. But I filled the remainder of my creative time today with study and prepping the next episode of the podcast to get published.
What went well?
- Getting my drawing time in.
- Feeling prepared for whatever storms roll in. I got more propane!
What needs work?
- I think I’m going to get a tarp for the car during winter storms, so I don’t have to worry about it getting completely frozen.
What did I learn?
I need more rest. I’m going to get it.
