I didn’t sleep particularly well last night, and woke up incredibly sore today. Mostly my shoulders, and a little in my legs.
I made it to the cabin for a meeting with Chris — we attempted to record the third episode of the euCreativ Show, but technical difficulties put a damper on that. I still managed to publish episode 2 today, though!
Then, in order to save propane in case of emergencies, I came back home instead of finishing my work for the day at the cabin.
Once I got home, the kids wanted to play in the snow, so I obliged. That’s the point of a snow day, right?
We built a snowman as a family, then had fun on the sled. By the time I ended up getting settled in for the day, it was incredibly late. But I still got my warmup page in:

I find it painfully obvious that I was tense, hurting, and exhausted just from looking at the quality of my warmup. But that’s probably because I’ve done so many of these that I can see the signs like they’re flashing neon.
What went well?
- Playing with the kids.
- Not breaking the chain.
What needs work?
- Sleep, energy, pain.
What did I learn?
I still need to be trying to do my floor for drawing first thing in the morning. It makes the rest of my day go so much better. That’s what I’ll try tomorrow.
