Pillars for the New Year

Today was incredibly unfocused when it comes to art production. I’m trying to “install” new systems in my life, which I’ve been working on for the past month. I don’t really believe in “New Year’s Resolutions” — but I DO believe in reviewing the past year and making plans for the new one at the end of each year.

Just a rough “lay-in” of what I want the year to look like, with SMART goals attached to my bigger aspirational goals, projects for each quarter or month, and setting overall intentions for my future.

So I did a quick warm-up page today, and that’s it.

What went well?

  • Preparing for an awesome 2021

What needs work?

  • Keeping on top of my art practice while I’m building new systems.

What did I learn?

I let my ideas and goals “slip” over time, so I need a way to keep them front-and-center in my life so I stay on track.
