Hiking to the cabin today was one helluva exercise! The ice and snow is starting to melt, so it’s packing down and becoming incredibly slick. I basically had to jump from tree to tree with my back pack, grabbing trunks to stay upright. I only fell once on the way up, so I’ll consider that a success.

After the hike, I got settled in (late) and did my warmup page:

And I’m incredibly pleased with this warmup! I tried doing the circles on the top from right to left instead of left to right today. Just switching it up a little bit. Trying one little tweak to see how it goes.

And a surprisingly clean warmup!

Unfortunately, my wife had some medical issues that needed addressed the rest of the day. Things ended up turning out well, though — so no worries!

What went well?

  • Getting to spend a lot of time with my family.
  • A surprisingly clean warmup!

What needs work?

  • Recovering from the insane amount of stress that my mind and body have been under.

What did I learn?

Protect my time like my life depends on it.
