Well, the plan for preparing for every appointment was a bust, as expected. What I didn’t expect was how hectic today was actually going to be.
I didn’t get a start on my art until 6 p.m. due to a very, very long doctor’s appointment with my wife today, plus all of the other errands. I’d planned on being home about 3 hours earlier than we managed to get home. But I sat down and got to work as soon as I got the kids some dinner.

Starting with my warmup. I skipped the gestures and dove straight into my next client design.

Some simple lettering for a group of memorial tattoos that Mrs. Autumn and I will be tackling together.

And a simple Aster design for a mother getting tattooed on Thursday! Birth flowers always do the trick. 🙂
Unfortunately, I’ve run out of time to work any more tonight. A good night’s rest and an early start will hopefully help me catch up a bit more.
What went well?
- Using pomodoro timers to work efficiently.
- Getting 2 designs out of the 5 ready for the week. Three more to go!
What needs work?
- Energy management.
- Finding a way to keep up with client work during medical errands for my wife.
What did I learn?
In order to take responsibility for everything on my plate, I may have to work extra. That’s alright. I’ll do what I have to do, one thing at a time.
